“Zionist occupation regime is going to confiscate thousands of square meters of private Palestinian land in the northern West Bank to expand a settlement,” said HÜDA PAR, in its weekly statement regarding recent international and domestic issues.
“The Zionist regime, which sees all kinds of atrocities against Palestinians as a common practice, seeks to expand its occupation in the region and make it permanent,” HÜDA PAR spokesman Serkan Ramanlı said and added: “Lastly, the occupation regime, which made plans to seize 320 acres of land in Bethlehem, was eager to expand its occupation areas in the West Bank by issuing a military instruction in this direction. The Zionists, who spread terror in the region, do not comply with any rules and resolutions of international law, especially the UN, and normalize human rights violations. The main reason for this is that the Muslim world has developed a relationship with the Zionist regime as if it were a legitimate actor in the region. As these relations develop, the dose of terrorist attacks increases. As the illegal settlements are expanded, Zionism is legitimized. If it continues like this, there will be no unoccupied Palestinian land. For this reason, we invite the Muslim public to stand united in the face of Zionism and to put pressure on their governments to cut ties with the Zionist regime.”
G-20 Summit and poverty in the world
Reminding that the 17th Summit of the G-20, which consists of 19 of and the European Union, took place on 15-16 November on the Indonesian island of Bali, Ramanlı said: “At the G-20 summit, which took place in the shadow of the Russia-Ukraine War and which Russian President Putin boycotted, the desired and expected decisions were not taken for the poor and the people who could not reach enough food. According to the UN data released last week, 7 million people in Sudan and approximately 200 million people worldwide are under the threat of hunger due to food insecurity.”
Ramanlı continued his remarks as follows: “The addition of the Russia-Ukraine War to the break in the food supply and supply chain due to the Covid-19 epidemic has taken the existing food shortage to a further level. The Grain Corridor Agreement between Turkey, the United Nations, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine is in danger because it is open to provocation. The fact that grain ships have been going to developed and rich countries rather than impoverished countries has the potential to turn the shortage of grain into a crisis that will cause mass deaths from starvation. Turkey should do its best to keep the Grain Corridor Agreement alive and ensure the safe and continuous functioning of the corridor. G-20 and other rich countries should help poor countries more.” (ILKHA)
