Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, to discuss key regional and international developments, diplomatic sources said.
According to the sources, the two ministers held detailed discussions on diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and explored ongoing initiatives to reduce regional instability.
Fidan and Barrot also exchanged views on international efforts to bring an end to the Russia-Ukraine war, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomacy.
The conversation further covered the latest developments in Palestine, where Israeli military operations continue, as well as the evolving military and political situation in Syria.
The ministers discussed possible diplomatic steps to promote regional peace and stability and reaffirmed the importance of maintaining dialogue on issues affecting the Middle East and Europe.(ILKHA)
