The death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,386, while the number of injured has reached 174,250 since October 7, 2023, according to health authorities in the enclave.

Gaza hospitals reported that two people were killed over the past 24 hours, including one victim who succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier attack. Medical facilities also received eight injured people during the same period.

According to medical sources, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, has reached 1,258, while at least 4,139 people have been injured during the same period.

The sources said rescue teams have also recovered the bodies of 807 victims from beneath the rubble since the ceasefire began.

Victims Remain Trapped Under Rubble

Despite the ceasefire, medical and rescue teams continue to face major challenges in reaching victims across the Gaza Strip.

Health officials said a number of people remain trapped beneath destroyed buildings and on roads, with ambulance crews and rescue teams unable to reach them because of the destruction and difficult conditions.

The continuing recovery of bodies from beneath the rubble has added to the already staggering death toll from the conflict, while the large number of injured people continues to place immense pressure on Gaza’s healthcare system.

Health authorities have repeatedly warned that the true scale of casualties could be significantly higher because many victims remain unaccounted for beneath collapsed buildings or in areas inaccessible to emergency responders.

The latest figures underscore the continuing humanitarian consequences of the conflict in Gaza, even after the ceasefire came into effect. (ILKHA)
