Afghan, Iranian officials seek solutions to challenges facing Afghan refugees
Afghanistan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Tehran, Mawlavi Fazl Mohammad Haqqani, met with Mojtaba Shasti Karimi, director of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s Consular Affairs Department, to discuss consular cooperation and challenges facing Afghan refugees in Iran.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and improve consular services and address pressing issues affecting Afghan nationals residing across Iran.
Particular attention was given to the difficulties faced by Afghan refugees, with the officials exchanging views on measures that could help resolve their immediate concerns and facilitate access to necessary consular services.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued coordination between the Afghan and Iranian authorities on issues involving Afghan nationals in Iran.
The two sides also emphasized the need for closer cooperation in dealing with consular matters and responding to challenges affecting the large Afghan community living in Iran. (ILKHA)
