Palestinian killed, two injured in Israeli airstrike in central Gaza
A Palestinian was killed and two others were injured Sunday in an Israeli airstrike near Salah al-Din Street in the central Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
The latest strike comes despite a ceasefire that took effect in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 11, 2025, amid continued reports of Israeli attacks and Palestinian casualties.
Medical sources in Gaza reported Saturday that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing military campaign in the enclave since Oct. 7, 2023, had risen to 73,419 Palestinians killed, while 174,364 others have been injured.
According to the medical sources, 1,285 Palestinians have been killed and 4,252 injured since the ceasefire came into effect on Oct. 11, 2025.
The sources also said that 813 bodies have been recovered from the rubble during the same period as rescue and recovery teams continue efforts to locate victims beneath destroyed buildings.
The latest casualties add to the mounting toll in Gaza after nearly three years of war, which has caused widespread destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis across the besieged enclave.
Palestinian officials and medical authorities have repeatedly called for an end to attacks and for increased humanitarian assistance to Gaza, where large numbers of civilians continue to face the consequences of the conflict. (ILKHA)
