Al-Qassam Brigades release new images of martyr Yahya Sinwar from Operation Al-Aqsa Flood
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, have released previously unseen images of martyr Yahya Sinwar, showing him during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood against the Israeli occupation regime.
The photographs were published through the group's official media platforms ahead of the anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. According to the Al-Qassam Brigades, the images were taken while Sinwar was participating in and overseeing resistance operations during the battle.
The newly released photographs show martyr Sinwar at different stages of the operation, including while directing field activities and alongside resistance fighters. Some images also show him studying operational maps and moving between different locations during the course of the operation.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said the images document moments from Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and reflect Sinwar's direct presence alongside resistance fighters during the confrontation with the Israel regime.
The publication is part of a series of media materials released by the Al-Qassam Brigades highlighting the role of senior resistance leaders during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which began on 7 October 2023. International media also reported that the newly released photographs had not previously been made public and were issued ahead of this year's anniversary of the operation.
Yahya Sinwar, who led Hamas in the Gaza Strip before becoming the movement's overall political leader, was widely regarded by the group as one of the principal architects of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. Since his martyrdom, the Al-Qassam Brigades have continued to publish archival footage and photographs documenting his leadership during the operation.(ILKHA)
