Russian attacks kill at least 13, injure 104 across Ukraine
At least 13 people were killed and 104 others injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine over the past day, Ukrainian authorities said on Tuesday, as Russian strikes damaged a hospital in the central city of Kryvyi Rih and hit residential areas in several regions.
In Kryvyi Rih, in Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian air strike damaged a hospital, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's Defense Council. Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said four people, including two medical workers, were injured.
Elsewhere in Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian attacks killed one person and injured three others over the past day, Hanzha said.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russian forces launched 137 Shahed-type attack drones overnight, including 49 jet-powered drones, along with Gerbera and Parodiya decoy drones.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 114 of the drones, while strikes were recorded at 17 locations. Debris from intercepted drones fell at four locations, the Air Force said.
In northeastern Kharkiv region, Russian attacks killed seven people and injured 70 others, including children, regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov said.
Kharkiv city was among the areas hit hardest, with dozens of people injured in a Russian glide-bomb attack on Monday.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said Russian forces attacked the city with at least three guided aerial bombs, striking the Slobidskyi district.
Images released by Ukraine's State Emergency Service showed a residential building damaged in the attack.
In Donetsk region, three people were killed and 11 injured in Russian attacks over the past day, regional Governor Vadym Filashkin said.
In northeastern Sumy region, a 49-year-old man was killed and four others were injured in Russian drone strikes, regional authorities said.
In southern Kherson region, Russian attacks killed one person and injured four others, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.
In southeastern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 955 attacks on 58 settlements over the past day, injuring eight people, regional authorities said.
The latest attacks come as Russia continues its campaign of missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure, while Ukrainian forces have also intensified attacks on targets inside Russian territory. (ILKHA)
