Araghchi says Washington must choose between agreement and war
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has urged the United States to accept Tehran's proposed terms for an agreement, warning that choosing military confrontation would lead to another defeat for Washington.
In a post on X on Sunday, Araghchi said the outcome of the recent US elections had sent a message to the White House, adding that the next move was now up to the American administration.
“American voters have made their choice. Now it is the White House’s turn to choose,” he wrote.
Araghchi said Iran's two-day proposal remained on the table, calling on Washington to accept its terms and assess the results of their implementation. He said one of the proposal's key demands was an end to the conflict on all fronts.
The Iranian foreign minister warned that rejecting diplomacy in favor of military action would carry serious consequences for the United States.
“Or choose war and see how our alert and battle-hardened fighters on the battlefield will rain a hell of fire down upon you,” he said.
Araghchi's remarks came as Tehran continued to press Washington to choose a diplomatic path amid escalating regional tensions. (ILKHA)
