At least 9 killed, over 50 injured in Russia's latest attacks across Ukraine
Russian forces carried out a massive overnight assault across Ukraine, killing at least nine civilians and injuring 53 others over the past 24 hours, regional authorities reported on Nov. 15.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia launched three Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missiles from Tambov Oblast, along with 135 attack drones originating from Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, Bryansk, and Russian-occupied Crimea.
Ukraine’s air defense systems intercepted two ballistic missiles and 91 drones. However, one missile and 41 drones penetrated defenses and struck targets across 13 locations. Falling debris was also recorded at four additional sites.
In Kyiv Oblast, a Russian attack on the capital on Nov. 14 killed seven people and injured 36 more. Widespread damage was reported across nine districts of the city, said Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, and Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko.
In Kherson Oblast, Russian forces shelled 34 settlements, including the city of Kherson itself. One person was killed and seven others were wounded, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said.
In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Russian attacks targeted the Nikopol district, killing a 65-year-old man. Another strike in the Synelnykove district injured a 52-year-old man, according to Governor Vladyslav Haivanenko.
In Sumy Oblast, shelling injured five civilians, including a 17-year-old boy in the Sumy community and an 18-year-old man in the Bilopillia community, regional authorities reported.
In Donetsk Oblast, attacks left one person injured in Kramatorsk and another wounded in Lyman, Governor Vadym Filashkin said.
In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian strikes targeted nine settlements. A 59-year-old man was injured in the town of Lozova, according to Governor Oleh Syniehubov. (ILKHA)
