Death toll in Lebanon climbs to 912 since start of Israeli aggression
The humanitarian toll continues to mount in Lebanon as ongoing Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 912 people since the beginning of the assault on March 2, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
In its latest daily report released Tuesday, the ministry confirmed that 26 people were killed and 80 others wounded within the past 24 hours alone, underscoring the intensifying pace of attacks across the country.
Israeli warplanes have continued to launch widespread airstrikes targeting multiple regions, with a particular focus on southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut. Civilian areas have been heavily affected, raising concerns over the growing humanitarian crisis.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli airstrike struck the airport road in the capital, Beirut, killing one person and injuring nine others, according to official sources.
Reports from National News Agency detailed further attacks in the south. An Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle between the towns of Aabba and Jebchit, killing one individual and injuring another. In a separate incident, Israeli warplanes destroyed a residential building in the town of Toul.
Additional casualties were reported in the town of Al-Sultaniyah, where an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle resulted in one fatality.
The violence has also impacted Lebanese military personnel. The Lebanese Armed Forces confirmed that one of its soldiers was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Nabatieh, which also left five other soldiers injured.
As the assault continues, fears are growing over further escalation and the deepening humanitarian impact on civilians across Lebanon. (ILKHA)
