The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,919 Palestinians, with 174,977 others injured since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, the Gaza Health Ministry said Tuesday.

In its daily update, the ministry said hospitals across the besieged enclave had received the bodies of five Palestinians and treated 25 wounded people over the past 24 hours.

The ministry said the latest casualties bring the overall toll from Israel’s military operations in Gaza to 73,919 deaths and 174,977 injuries.

It added that the number of casualties has continued to rise despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.

Since the ceasefire came into force, at least 1,399 Palestinians have been killed and 4,863 others injured, according to the ministry.

Gaza’s health authorities have repeatedly warned that the reported figures may not represent the full scale of casualties, as many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings or are otherwise unreachable by rescue teams.

The latest figures come amid continued reports of casualties in the Gaza Strip, where Israel’s genocidal campaign has caused extensive destruction and a severe humanitarian crisis. (ILKHA)
