The death toll from Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,786 Palestinians, while 174,771 others have been injured since October 7, 2023, according to Palestinian medical sources.

The sources said hospitals across the besieged enclave received the bodies of two Palestinians killed and 25 injured people over the past 24 hours.

They added that 1,372 Palestinians have been killed and 4,659 injured since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, while the bodies of 831 people have been recovered during the same period.

The latest casualties add to the devastating human toll of Israel’s military campaign, which has caused widespread destruction across Gaza and left large numbers of Palestinians without adequate access to shelter, food and medical care.

Palestinian medical sources warned that the reported figures are likely to rise, as numerous victims remain trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings and along roads.

They said ambulance and rescue crews have been unable to reach many of those trapped because of the destruction, dangerous conditions and severe restrictions affecting emergency operations.

The continuing recovery of bodies from destroyed residential areas has further underscored the scale of the destruction inflicted on the Gaza Strip during the war. (ILKHA)
