Senator Mike Lee warns of World War III following Biden's approval of strikes on Russia
Outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden has approved the use of American long-range tactical ballistic missiles, ATACMS, to strike deep into Russian territory, a move that Republican Senator Mike Lee from Utah claims could trigger World War III.
"Joe Biden has just set the stage for World War III. Let's all pray that it doesn't come to this," Lee wrote on social media platform X.
The decision follows media leaks organized by Washington, Paris, and London, indicating their permission for strikes on Russian territory using American ATACMS, as well as French SCALP and British Storm Shadow missiles. Sources suggest that the "green light" for these long-range strikes was in response to the alleged transfer of North Korean military forces to Russia's Kursk region.
According to Reuters, the first ATACMS strikes on Russia are expected to occur in the coming days, utilizing missiles with a range of 300 kilometers. However, there has been no official confirmation from Washington, Paris, or London regarding this information. (ILKHA)
