Brent crude oil prices rose 1.7% in early trading on Tuesday, with the international benchmark reaching $102.08 per barrel as concerns over global supply persisted.

Brent futures had climbed as high as $104.90 during the previous session before settling at $100.34 per barrel. By 09:33 GMT, the benchmark had recovered to $102.08, posting a 1.7% gain from the previous close.

At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were trading at $93.70 per barrel.

Supply concerns support prices

Oil prices were supported by ongoing concerns over potential supply disruptions in the Middle East and difficulties affecting Saudi Arabia's oil export routes.

Recent attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure have disrupted exports through the kingdom's Red Sea corridor, forcing greater reliance on Gulf terminals and raising concerns over the security of regional oil shipments.

Market participants also continued to monitor developments in the Middle East, where geopolitical tensions have heightened fears of further supply interruptions and increased volatility in global energy markets.(ILKHA)
