Services producer price index in Turkey rises by 34.26% annually in October

Services producer price index (S-PPI) increased by 34.26% annually and by 3.42% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
S-PPI (2017=100) increased by 3.42% monthly, by 33.29% on December of the previous year, by 34.26% on same month of the previous year and by 28.35% on the twelve months moving averages basis in October 2021.
Transportation and storage services increased by 34.84% annually
The indices increased by 34.84% for transportation and storage services, by 25.68% for accommodation and food services, by 13.70% for information and communication services, by 144.42% for real estate services, by 21.37% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 21.40% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.
Transportation and storage services increased by 4.40% monthly
The indices increased by 4.40% for transportation and storage services, decreased by 2.16% for accommodation and food services, increased by 2.55% for information and communication services, increased by 14.97% for real estate services, increased by 3.95% for professional, scientific and technical services, decreased by 0.71% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower annual change observed in 21 subdivisions while 6 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for office administrative, support and other business support services by 8.85%, for telecommunications services by 9.06%, for legal and accounting services by 12.21%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for real estate services by 144.42%, for water transport services by 87.37%, for warehousing and support services for transportation by 58.75%.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 17 subdivisions while 10 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for accommodation services by 9.07%, for travel agency, tour operator and other reservation services by 5.32%, for air transport services by 2.50%. On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for postal and courier services by 37.15%, for programming and broadcasting services by 18.95%, for real estate services by 14.97%.
