Services producer price index in Turkey soars 104.28% annually
Services Producer Price Index increased by 104.28% annually, by 2.05% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement.
S-PPI (2017=100) increased by 2.05% on monthly basis, by 75.79% on December of the previous year basis, by 104.28% on the same month of the previous year basis, and by 84.03% on the twelve months moving averages basis in October 2022.
Transportation and storage services increased by 132.35% annually
The indices increased by 132.35% for transportation and storage services, 102.21% for accommodation and food services, 69.01% for information and communication services, 63.28% for real estate services, 85.62% for professional, scientific, and technical services, 97.74% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.
Transportation and storage services increased by 0.83% monthly
The indices increased by 0.83% for transportation and storage services, increased by 1.03% for accommodation and food services, increased by 5.26% for information and communication services, decreased by 0.49% for real estate services, increased by 7.21% for professional, scientific and technical services, increased by 0.54% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.
Compared to general S-PPI, the lower annual change observed in 17 subdivisions while 10 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for telecommunications services by 41.68%, for legal and accounting services by 47.22%, and for real estate services by 63.28%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for air transport services by 155.38%, for land transport services and transport services via pipelines by 135.22%, for programming and broadcasting services by 123.33%.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 10 subdivisions while 17 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for accommodation services by 8.43%, for travel agency, tour operator and other reservation services and related services by 7.93%, for air transport services by 5.64%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for programming and broadcasting services by 23.96%, for scientific research and development services by 20.59%, for information services by 11.47%. (ILKHA)
