Diyarbakır Hope Caravan ready for Eid al-Adha
Diyarbakır Hope Caravan, which distributes sacrificial meat to the victims and families in need at Eid al-Adha every year, issued a statement that they have done all preparation to distribute of sacrificial meat this year.
Şahin Elelçi, head of the Diyarbakır Hope Caravan [Umut Kervanı], said they will distribute sacrificial meat to the victims and families in need during Eid al-Adha, as they do every year.
"As every year, this year we have completed our preparations to deliver sacrificial meat to those in need," Elelçi said, adding that as the Hope Caravan in Diyarbakır, they have started working with the slogan 'Let your sacrificial meat be hope' during the Eid al-Adha.
Elelçi noted that they have set the sacrifice donation and price as 900 TL this year. "After slaughtering the sacrificial animal, we divide the meat and distribute those needy people who haven't seen meat at their table whole year."
These Eids are an opportunity to share the smiles and joys of the faces of the families of the victims, the poor and the needy," he added.
"We package meats in a hygienic environment by cutting and dividing them into shares and distributes them to families in need which we have already determined," Elelçi said, further adding that philanthropist can donate for sacrificial animals through bank accounts or cash in their offices. (ILKHA)
