Erdoğan reaffirms Türkiye's support for Somalia in phone call with President Mohamud
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia, focusing on the relations between Türkiye and Somalia, alongside regional and global matters.
During the call, President Erdoğan underscored the significance that Türkiye places on Somalia's territorial integrity and unity, according to a statement from Turkish presidency.
He reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to supporting Somalia in its fight against terrorism, emphasizing the ongoing concentrated mediation efforts aimed at resolving the conflict between Somalia and Ethiopia.
Erdoğan also highlighted that the collaboration between Türkiye and Somalia will continue to flourish, particularly in key sectors such as energy and defense. This conversation marks another step in strengthening the ties between the two nations. (ILKHA)
