Flash floods hit Turkey’s Black Sea region: 2 dead
Two people have died Tuesday in floods caused by heavy rains in Rize province in the Black Sea region of Turkey.
The floods severely affected the districts of Çayeli and İkizdere. Some houses were evacuated due to flood hazard in the districts.
According local reports, Rize- Erzurum road was closed to transportation because of the overflow of the creek in the İkizdere district of Rize province.
Turkey’s Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu moved to the region in order to supervise search and rescue operations. (ILKHA)
