The Palestine Convoy, an international civil initiative seeking to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and draw attention to Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza, announced on Saturday that it has arrived in the northwestern Turkish province of Sakarya as it continues its overland journey toward the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the organizers said the convoy's stop in Sakarya follows the large public gathering held in Istanbul and forms part of a broader route stretching from Europe to Palestine.

"The Palestine Convoy is in Sakarya," the statement said. "On this journey to stand against the genocide in Palestine and to demonstrate the power of civil will, our next stop after the Great Istanbul Rally on our route from Europe to the West Bank is Sakarya."

Organizers announced that a training program and coordination meetings would be held during the stopover, calling on supporters to participate in the activities and continue backing the initiative.

"We are taking another step forward on our path and continuing to grow stronger every day. Join our convoy or keep supporting us," the statement added.

The convoy brings together activists, humanitarian volunteers, and supporters from several countries who say their mission is to amplify international calls for an immediate end to Israel's military offensive, unrestricted humanitarian access to Gaza, and accountability for alleged violations of international law.

The initiative has gained momentum through public rallies and solidarity events across several European countries and Türkiye, with participants emphasizing peaceful advocacy and international cooperation in support of Palestinian rights.

The convoy's latest stop comes as humanitarian conditions in Gaza continue to deteriorate after months of Israeli military operations. International aid organizations have repeatedly warned of widespread displacement, severe shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and fuel, while hospitals and other civilian infrastructure remain under immense strain.

The United Nations and numerous humanitarian agencies have continued to call for an immediate and lasting ceasefire, the protection of civilians, and unhindered humanitarian access to the besieged enclave. Human rights organizations have also renewed demands for independent investigations into alleged violations of international humanitarian law committed during the conflict.

Organizers of the Palestine Convoy say they intend to continue their journey toward the West Bank while expanding public awareness campaigns and mobilizing international civil society in support of the Palestinian cause, urging people across the region to join the initiative or support it through peaceful means.
