Türkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have strongly condemned recent Israeli calls for the forced displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the foreign ministers of the eight countries denounced remarks by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz concerning the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. They particularly rejected proposals outlining plans or mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land.

The ministers described such statements and proposals as dangerous and inflammatory, stressing that the forced displacement of Palestinians cannot be justified under any pretext or political argument. They warned that transforming such calls into official policy or concrete measures would have devastating consequences for Palestinians and further threaten peace and stability across the region.

The eight foreign ministers reaffirmed their unequivocal rejection of all attempts to displace the Palestinian people, whether within or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

They stressed that Palestinians have the right to remain on their ancestral land and rejected any effort to uproot them, forcibly transfer them or impose a new demographic reality in the occupied territories.

The ministers warned that any such policy would not only deepen the suffering of the Palestinian people but also undermine international efforts to end the Gaza conflict and establish a lasting peace.

They also stressed that proposals for forced displacement run directly counter to President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which explicitly rejects the forced displacement of Palestinians. Attempts to pursue such policies, they warned, could seriously damage prospects for regional stability and a lasting political settlement.

The foreign ministers emphasized that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and rejected attempts to detach Gaza from the rest of the Palestinian homeland.

They stressed the importance of preserving the territorial unity of the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and reaffirmed that Palestinians must be able to exercise their legitimate national rights across their historic homeland.

According to the ministers, the only viable path toward a just and lasting peace is the implementation of the two-state solution, with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.

The eight countries called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and firmly oppose any attempt to impose a new demographic or geographic reality on the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

They urged the international community to uphold international law and prevent policies that could permanently alter the character and identity of Palestinian lands.

The ministers also reaffirmed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their determination to remain on their homeland despite continued hardship and suffering.

They rejected what they described as attempts to erase the Palestinian cause or undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the future of Palestine cannot be determined through forced displacement or the uprooting of Palestinians from their land.

The joint statement comes amid growing concern over Israeli proposals advocating the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza. The eight countries warned that turning such proposals into reality would deepen the Palestinian tragedy, threaten regional stability and further diminish hopes for a just and lasting peace.

For the signatories, the message remains clear: Palestinians must not be forced from their homeland, and any lasting peace must be built on the recognition of their legitimate rights and their right to remain on their land. (ILKHA)
