The leader of the Islamic Salvation Front, which was mentioned frequently in the 1990s, has been receiving treatment in Qatar for a while.
According to the Algerian official news agency APS, Madani had been hospitalized in Doha, the capital of Qatar for a long time, because of stomach and blood pressure problems a few days ago.
"I am conveying my condolences to both the family and to the Islamic world because of the loss of a son of the Islamic Ummah," said Ali Belhadj, one of the founders and vice president of FIS. (ILKHA)
