Ansarallah military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree said Saudi warplanes carried out 52 airstrikes across five Yemeni governorates over the past 24 hours, accusing Riyadh of escalating its military campaign against the country.

In a statement, Saree said the airstrikes targeted the governorates of Al Hudaydah, Taiz, Al Bayda, Marib and Saada.

According to the Ansarallah spokesperson, the attacks were carried out by Saudi F-15 and Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases, while missile strikes were launched from the Jizan region.

Saree claimed the strikes resulted in casualties, including women and children, and caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, including telecommunications networks, schools, bridges and roads.

The Ansarallah spokesperson condemned the attacks as a continuation of Saudi military operations against Yemen and said the group reserved the right to respond.

The claims made by Ansarallah could not be independently verified, and Saudi authorities had not issued an immediate statement regarding the allegations at the time of publication.

The reported escalation comes amid renewed fighting in Yemen, with regional tensions remaining high despite previous efforts to reach a lasting ceasefire.(ILKHA)
