The death toll from Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,662 Palestinians, with 174,627 others reported wounded since the conflict began on October 7, 2023, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The ministry released the figures in its daily report on Tuesday, documenting the continuing human toll of the Israeli military campaign and its devastating impact on the besieged Palestinian territory.

According to the ministry, Gaza hospitals received three bodies and five wounded Palestinians over the past 24 hours. Another injured victim was reported to have died from their wounds, further increasing the overall death toll.

The latest figures bring the number of Palestinians killed since the beginning of the Israeli offensive to 73,662, while the number of wounded has reached 174,627, the ministry said.

More Than 1,300 Killed Since Ceasefire

The Health Ministry also reported that the violence has continued despite the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.

Since the ceasefire began, at least 1,355 Palestinians have been killed and 4,516 wounded, according to the ministry.

The figures underscore the continued loss of life in Gaza even after the formal cessation of large-scale hostilities. Palestinian officials and humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that the ceasefire has not brought an end to the humanitarian crisis facing Gaza’s population.

The health system, already severely damaged by the prolonged Israeli military campaign, continues to face enormous pressure as hospitals struggle to treat casualties while dealing with shortages of medical supplies, equipment and other essential resources.

The latest casualty figures are based on reports received by Gaza’s Health Ministry from hospitals and medical facilities across the territory. The ministry has repeatedly noted that the actual death toll could be higher, as many victims remain under the rubble or in areas that emergency and rescue teams have been unable to reach.
