Hamas warns of forceful response to any breach of ceasefire agreement

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas Movement, declared the Palestinian resistance's firm commitment to adhering to the recently brokered ceasefire agreement.
Speaking from the heart of the besieged Gaza Strip, he emphasized the conditional nature of this commitment, contingent upon Israel's reciprocal respect for the terms.
"We and the resistance factions declare our full commitment to the ceasefire agreement, while stressing that all of this is contingent on the enemy's commitment," Abu Obeida stated, underscoring the fragile peace amidst ongoing occupation.
He warned that Israel's continued occupation of Palestinian land would not only escalate tensions but also destabilize the entire region and beyond. "The continued occupation of our land will affect the entire region and the world," he declared, calling out the international community's complicity in what he termed the "occupation of Gaza," predicting disastrous consequences for those supporting Israel's actions.
Abu Obeida accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of extending a war he described as genocidal for over a year due to "malicious ambitions," delaying what could have been a much earlier ceasefire. "We want the deal to be a success to end the bloodshed among our people," he expressed, showing a readiness to honor all terms of the agreement.
Reflecting on the 15-month assault by Israel, Abu Obeida described the resistance's struggle as an "unequal confrontation" against a force lacking in both combat ethics and morality. He highlighted the martyrdom of high-ranking Hamas leaders Ismail Haneyya, Saleh al-Arouri, and Yahya Sinwar, killed in Tehran, Beirut, and Gaza respectively, as a testament to the group's sacrifice and commitment to the cause.
The spokesperson also voiced gratitude towards allies in the region, acknowledging the support and sacrifices made by Yemen's Houthis, Lebanon's Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, and "brothers in Jordan who crossed borders with the occupier." He emphasized the unity and shared struggle across the Arab and Islamic nations, stating, "We are of you, and you are of us."
Abu Obeida concluded his speech by reiterating that Israel is the "root of all calamities in the region," calling for focused efforts to curb its influence and warning against any attempts to normalize or integrate it into the region, which would be met with resistance and awareness from "free peoples."
His words resonate as a call for justice, peace, and the end of occupation, while also serving as a stark reminder of the ongoing sacrifices made by Palestinians in their quest for liberation. (ILKHA)
