The Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah has released a detailed overview of the latest military developments along the Northern Front, specifically in southern Lebanon, providing a tally of Israeli losses since the commencement of the ground invasion.
In a statement issued late Thursday, Hezbollah confirmed the elimination of 95 Israeli troops, with an additional 900 reported wounded. This figure encompasses both military officers and soldiers.
Hezbollah's report also detailed significant damage to Israeli military assets, claiming the destruction of 42 Merkava main battle tanks, four armored D9 bulldozers, two Humvees, one armored vehicle, and one armored personnel carrier (APC). Additionally, the Resistance's Air Defense Force successfully downed three Hermes 450 drones and two Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Notably, Hezbollah's tally does not account for Israeli losses incurred from long-range and indirect attacks on military bases, sites, settlements, and occupied cities.
The Operations Room of the Resistance provided insights into the recent confrontations, revealing that Israeli occupation forces have made several attempts to advance into border towns in southern Lebanon over the past few days. However, these attempts have been met with strong resistance from Hezbollah fighters.
The first axis of confrontations, which spans from the coastal border town of al-Naqoura to Marwahin, experienced infiltration attempts in the border towns of Chihine and al-Jibine. These towns have been heavily bombarded by Israeli artillery units and aircraft prior to infantry attempts to advance. Hezbollah also reported monitoring an Israeli reconnaissance infiltration attempt into the Hamoul Valley, located northeast of al-Naqoura, which was successfully repelled.
In response to the Israeli advances, Hezbollah fighters launched barrages of rockets targeting Israeli forces and their routes into the town of al-Dhayra, as well as positions at the Ras al-Naqoura and Jal al-Aalam military sites. (ILKHA)
