Israeli occupation forces intensified their attacks on southern Lebanon on Wednesday, carrying out airstrikes and artillery bombardments against several towns and areas in continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty.

Israeli warplanes carried out two separate airstrikes on the town of Mansouri, while another attack targeted the town of Deir Siryan, according to local reports.

The escalation also included artillery fire and machine-gun bursts targeting several areas across southern Lebanon. The outskirts of Kfarshouba came under artillery shelling in the morning, accompanied by machine-gun fire.

The outskirts of Baraachit and Beit Yahoun, the Ali Taher heights and areas around Mansouri were also reportedly targeted.

Earlier, Israeli forces conducted heavy bombardment in Haddatha and Bani Hayyan, as well as in the area between Mansouri and Majdalzoun, adding to a pattern of attacks affecting communities across southern Lebanon.

The latest escalation comes amid continuing tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli border and despite diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing hostilities. Earlier this week, Lebanese state media reported Israeli artillery fire, explosions, house burnings and military activity in several areas of southern Lebanon.

Mansouri has previously been targeted by Israeli airstrikes, underscoring the repeated exposure of southern Lebanese communities to attacks.

The renewed attacks have raised further concerns over the safety of civilians and the continued violation of Lebanon's territorial sovereignty. For communities in the south, repeated air and artillery strikes have compounded an already difficult humanitarian and security situation.
