Russia reports 5,482 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours
5,482 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Russia, bringing the number of cases in the country to 845,443.
The country’s death toll from the virus has reached 14,058, an increase of 161 deaths in the last 24 hours.
638,410 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
Russia was relatively late in suffering a serious outbreak, but it is now the country with the fourth-most cases in the world, after the United States, Brazil and India.
The city of Moscow is currently the most affected federal subject, having the majority of confirmed cases.
