Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, has described the 20-year conflict with the U.S. and its allies as an Islamic obligation ("Fard 'Ayn").
Concluding a two-week visit to Afghanistan's northern provinces, Akhundzada emphasized that the war was waged against foreign forces, not Afghans.
Speaking to officials and religious scholars in Jawzjan province, Akhundzada stated: "Our target was the usurpers, the oppressive infidels, America, and their associates. We repeatedly urged Afghans to distance themselves from the U.S. and let us face America alone." He stressed that the conflict was not aimed at fellow Afghans but solely at foreign occupiers.
During his visits to 11 provinces, Akhundzada urged unity and brotherhood among Afghans, asserting that foreign powers seek to keep Afghanistan in perpetual conflict. "The enemy does not want peace and security for Afghanistan; they want us divided and under their influence," he said.
Akhundzada reiterated that the people of Afghanistan have always sought an Islamic system, and with the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, Sharia law is now in effect across the country. (ILKHA)
