Two mosques inaugurated in Uganda, the poorest country of Africa
European Yetim Eli, an international help organization based on in Mannheim, Germany, has built two mosques as well as fresh water wells in Uganda, the poorest country of Africa.
Thanks to donations made by philanthropists, the organization inaugurated two mosques in Kamuli and Buyende of Uganda region, where Muslims had to worship on the rugs that they spread under trees.
There are a lack of mosques in Uganda, the homeland of the orphans, so Muslims try to worship on the rugs that they spread under trees in the streets.
After they were completed in a short time, the mosques, called Bezmi Alem and Murat Kocatürk, were inaugurated in a ceremony with the participation of philanthropists.
At the same time, Muslims uses the mosques as madrasah and Qur'anic course in Uganda.
European Yetim Eli officials alongside philanthropists were welcomed by the local people happily.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Bezmi Alem, who sponsored the construction of one mosque, thanked the officials of the organization for their contribution and said: "May Allah be pleased with those who made efforts to build the mosque! I hope the mosque will be instrumental in educating many Muslims."

"I want to thank European Yetim Eli because they have brought us and have us met with our African brothers. I am very happy. I have not so far been so happy in my life. If Allah wills, I will come here again. I call on my Muslim brothers to come and see the charity efforts being made here," he added.
The second mosque was opened in Balawooli village of Balawooli distric in Kamuli city. Mustafa Kocatürk, who built the mosque in the name of his deceased son, spoke at the opening ceremony of the mosque named after his son, saying: "We have built this mosque in the name of my son Murat Kocatürk. His uncle Müslüm Ergül has also made important contribution to the construction of the mosque. I want to thank European Yetim Eli. May Allah help them! May Allah bless of all you!" (ILKHA)
