Zionist occupation gangs ban Sheikh Ekrema Sabri from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque

Zionist occupation gangs have ordered the former Mufti of Jerusalem and current head of the Higher Islamic Council, Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, off Al-Aqsa Mosque for one week, according to the local sources.
Raiding Sabri’s home in occupied Jerusalem, zionist gangs handed him a note ordering him to appear at a Jerusalem police station for questioning, with regard to his Friday sermon at Al-Aqsa Mosque, which they claimed incited the people against zionist occupation.
Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, who often gives the Friday sermon at Al-Aqsa, was also told to appear at the police station in one week, for further interrogation, and possibly to extend his ban on entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam’s third holiest site, for another week.
Sheikh Ekrima Sa'id Sabri was the Grant mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine from October 1994 to July 2006.
As a dauntless advocate of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a 1999 interview regarding the political situation on it, Sabri stated: "If the Jews want peace, they will stay away from Al Aksa. This is a decree from God. The Haram al-Sharif belongs to the Muslim. However, we know the Jew is planning to destroy the Haram. The Jew will get the Christian to do his work for him. This is the way of the Jews. This is the way Satan manifests himself. The majority of the Jews want to destroy the mosque. They are preparing this as we speak." (ILKHA)
