Hope Caravan provides essential aid to families in Şanlıurfa

As Ramadan approaches, the Hope Caravan Foundation has stepped up its efforts to support hundreds of families in need in Şanlıurfa, known as the City of Prophets.
The foundation, renowned for its charitable initiatives, has been assisting families by providing essential supplies ahead of the holy month, a time celebrated for mercy, compassion, and solidarity.
Families in need visited the foundation’s representative office in Şanlıurfa, where they were able to select necessities such as food, breakfast items, cleaning products, hygiene supplies, shoes, clothing, and stationery from a social market set up by Hope Caravan. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between philanthropists and those requiring aid, ensuring that families can prepare for Ramadan with dignity.
Mahmut Çelik, the foundation’s provincial representative, emphasized their mission in a recent statement. “We call on families in need two to three days before Ramadan, allowing them to come here and shop for what they need, just like in a regular supermarket,” Çelik said. “Our goal is to ensure they can enjoy their first sahur and iftar of Ramadan with the support of our benefactors, who we pray for. We say to those who help us, ‘May God be pleased with them, may God accept their charity.’”
With the blessed three months underway and Ramadan nearing, Çelik extended an invitation to philanthropists. “Ramadan is a month when acts of charity can be rewarded tenfold, a hundredfold, or even seven hundredfold,” he noted. “We invite all benefactors to visit our market, see our work, and receive prayers directly from the families they help. They can donate with peace of mind, insha’Allah.”
Çelik also encouraged donors to contribute their fitrah, zakat, and other charitable donations, highlighting the opportunity to witness firsthand how their support reaches orphans and needy families. “Come see our system, our environment, and the cleanliness of our efforts,” he added. “In this blessed month, when rewards for giving are multiplied, we warmly invite all philanthropists to join us in this act of charity.” (ILKHA)
