Akar meets US Syria envoy

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar met with U.S. Special Envoy for Syria James Jeffrey on Friday.
The Ministry said in a written statement that Akar and Jeffrey had exchanged views on issues of regional security, especially Syria.
The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara David Satterfield was present at the meeting. (ILKHA)

On the 45th anniversary of the September 12, 1980 military coup, HÜDA PAR issued a statement emphasizing that the institutional legacy of the coup mentality continues to affect Türkiye’s political and social life through the 1982 Constitution.
