Regime’s warplanes kill 14 civilians in Syria

The Assad regime and its ally Russia conducted airstrikes in Idlib, killing at least 14 civilians.
An airstrike carried out by the Asad regime and its ally Russia killed 14 civilians in the Syria's northwestern province of Idlib on Monday. The airstrike also wounded 20 civilians in a market in the town of Maaret al- Numan in the opposition-held province of Idlib.
In Astana talks, Turkey, Iran and Russia agreed last September to turn Idlib into a de-escalation zone where acts of aggression are expressly prohibited.
The de-escalation zones agreement was set to expire in 6 months, with the possibility of continued renewal.
The de-escalation zones were set up in the greater Idlib region (including parts of Latakia and Aleppo under armed rebel control), the Rastan pocket in the Homs governorate, eastern Ghouta, including the Damascus countryside, and southern Syria (parts of Daraa and Quinetra governorates under insurgent control). The de-escalation zones notably excluded the American-controlled at-Tanf pocket, the areas controlled by PKK/ PYD and the Turkish-controlled zones in the north. (ILKHA)
