Ship traffic suspended in Dardanelles Strait due to heavy fog

Shipping traffic in the Dardanelles Strait has been suspended in both directions due to limited visibility caused by heavy fog, according to the Navigation Control Service.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Service announced that ship traffic was halted at 06:17 local time as a precautionary measure. "Ship traffic will resume once the fog clears," the statement said.
The Dardanelles Strait is a critical waterway for international shipping, connecting the Aegean Sea to the Sea of Marmara. Authorities are monitoring the situation and will provide updates as conditions improve. (ILKHA)
