Erdoğan: Islamic world has power to stop Israel’s expansionist dreams
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a defiant speech at the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League in Doha, urging the Islamic Ummah to rise against Israel’s aggression and to put an end to its genocidal war on Gaza.
Erdoğan, addressing leaders from across the Muslim world, directly confronted Israel’s long-standing expansionist agenda, warning that its actions threatened not only Palestine but the entire region.
“We see some arrogant sham politicians in Israel frequently repeating the delusion of a so-called ‘Greater Israel.’ Each new massacre, each act of occupation in neighboring lands is proof of this imperialist project,” Erdoğan declared. “The Islamic world has both the strength and the means to crush these ambitions and defend the honor of the Ummah.”
The Turkish president blasted the Netanyahu regime as a “gang of murderers” who have lost all moral and political balance. “This massacre gang has even become a burden for its Western backers. Today, even those who once supported Israel unconditionally are now forced to speak out against its barbaric attacks — especially its reckless assault on Qatar,” Erdoğan said, his words greeted with applause and chants of solidarity.
Erdoğan urged the OIC and Arab League to go beyond verbal condemnations and take immediate, concrete steps to halt Israel’s crimes. He called for a joint Muslim security framework to protect member states, coordinated economic boycotts to isolate Israel, and the prosecution of Israeli war criminals in international courts.
“The era of silence is over,” he said. “The Ummah must stand up as one body, as commanded by our faith, to defend Gaza, Jerusalem, and the dignity of every oppressed Muslim. We must end this genocide once and for all.”
The summit was convened in response to Israel’s brazen airstrike in Doha that killed five Hamas members, a Qatari security officer, and several civilians — an attack widely condemned as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and an attempt to derail ceasefire talks.
Leaders from Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, and Algeria echoed Erdoğan’s call for firm action, warning that Israel’s unchecked crimes risk plunging the region into wider war. Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani vowed that his country would pursue all legal and diplomatic channels to hold Israel accountable.
According to diplomatic sources, the summit’s final declaration — expected late Monday — will call for the legal pursuit of Israeli leaders in international courts on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity, the imposition of economic and political pressure including suspending diplomatic ties with Israel where necessary, and the establishment of joint Islamic security cooperation aimed at defending member states and deterring further violations of sovereignty.
The Doha summit has become a rallying point for global Muslim solidarity, with millions across the world watching closely. The outcome is expected to set a new course for the Islamic world’s struggle against Zionist aggression and for the liberation of Palestine. (ILKHA)
