The Hamas Movement has condemned what it described as an intensifying campaign of Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, accusing the Israeli government of systematically violating the ceasefire agreement and continuing its deadly assault against the Palestinian population.

In a statement issued Monday, Hamas said Israeli occupation forces had escalated attacks across several areas of the besieged Strip since the early hours of the morning. The group said the latest violence demonstrated that Israel was continuing what it described as a genocidal war against Palestinians despite the existence of an internationally brokered ceasefire.

According to Hamas, Israeli forces demolished several Palestinian homes in southern Gaza, opened fire on fishermen off the coast of Gaza City and targeted civilians in different parts of the Strip. The attacks reportedly killed at least five Palestinians and wounded several others.

Hamas stressed that the incidents should not be viewed as isolated breaches of the ceasefire. Instead, it described them as part of a broader and systematic policy of military aggression that continues to take different forms across Gaza.

The movement called on the mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to assume their responsibilities and take immediate measures to stop the Israeli attacks.

Hamas urged the mediating parties to exert effective pressure on the Israeli government to respect its commitments under the ceasefire and prevent further attacks against Palestinian civilians.

The statement comes amid continued concerns over the fragility of the ceasefire, with Palestinians in Gaza facing persistent insecurity and the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure after months of devastating Israeli military operations.

Hamas accused the Israeli military of committing daily attacks and massacres that, it said, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity. The movement called for international and United Nations action to protect Palestinian civilians and hold Israeli political and military leaders accountable.

It also appealed for broader international and popular pressure aimed at isolating Israel over its actions in Gaza.

Hamas warned that Palestinians remain exposed to the dangers of further mass killings and forced displacement, arguing that continued Israeli military operations and attacks on civilian areas threaten to deepen an already catastrophic humanitarian situation.

For Palestinians in Gaza, the latest violence has renewed fears that the ceasefire could deteriorate further, leaving civilians once again caught between military attacks, displacement and worsening humanitarian conditions. (ILKHA)
