Israeli occupation forces continued attacks across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding a child, according to local sources, amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.

A Palestinian was killed when Israeli warplanes struck the roof of a house in the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, according to a local source.

In southern Gaza, a child, identified as Obaida Qwaider, was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Qatr camp, east of Hamad City and northwest of Khan Younis.

Israeli naval forces also opened heavy fire toward the sea off the coast of Khan Younis, while Israeli troops fired illumination flares over the Al-Qarara area northeast of the city.

Israeli forces also carried out artillery attacks in northern and eastern parts of the Gaza Strip.

Artillery fire targeted Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, while heavy bombardment was reported in the Sheja’iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods east of Gaza City.

The latest attacks came as Palestinians reported continued Israeli military activity across the enclave despite the ceasefire agreement.

Israeli forces have reportedly continued aerial, artillery and gunfire attacks, including strikes and operations in areas where displaced Palestinians are sheltering.

Demolition operations have also continued around the so-called Yellow Line, while restrictions on the movement of people and the entry of humanitarian supplies and commercial goods remain a major concern for Gaza's population.

According to figures cited from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israeli attacks since the ceasefire came into effect in October have killed 1,304 Palestinians and wounded 4,336 others.

The ministry said 814 bodies had also been recovered during the same period.

Since Israel launched its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the overall Palestinian death toll has risen to approximately 73,439, with another 174,447 people reported wounded, according to the ministry.

The casualty figures include large numbers of women and children, while rescue and medical teams continue to face severe shortages of equipment, fuel and other essential supplies.

The latest violence comes as Gaza remains under severe humanitarian pressure.

Restrictions on the entry of aid, commercial goods and fuel, combined with extensive damage to homes and civilian infrastructure, have left millions of Palestinians facing difficult living conditions.

The continued attacks and restrictions have also complicated efforts to rebuild Gaza and provide adequate healthcare and humanitarian assistance to the population.

Palestinian officials and humanitarian organizations have repeatedly called for the ceasefire to be respected and for unrestricted humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip.

As Israeli military activity continues, residents across Gaza remain exposed to airstrikes, artillery fire and gunfire, raising renewed concerns over the durability of the ceasefire and the worsening humanitarian situation in the enclave. (ILKHA)
