Afghan mujahid released from U.S. prison after nearly two decades
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced the successful release of Khan Mohammad, an Afghan Mujahid who had been serving a life sentence in the United States.
In a press statement, the ministry credited long-standing and fruitful negotiations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the United States for the release. Khan Mohammad, who was arrested in Nangarhar nearly two decades ago, had been imprisoned in California.
