Brazil reports 956 deaths from coronavirus in the past 24 hours
A total of 28,849 people has so far died from the virus in the country.
The number of confirmed cases has reached 501,985, an increase of 33,234 cases in the last 24 hours.
Brazil ranks second in the world in terms of total cases, behind the United States and has become the country with the fifth highest number of coronavirus-related deaths
While at least 8300 patients are being treated in intensive care units, more than 205,371 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
