Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart, Badr al-Busaidi, discussed the latest regional developments and issues of mutual interest during a telephone conversation on Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said.

The two ministers exchanged views on developments across the region and reviewed issues of common interest, according to the ministry.

The phone call comes as regional tensions remain high, with ongoing conflicts and diplomatic efforts placing Iran and Oman at the center of broader discussions over regional security and stability.

Oman has frequently played a mediating role in regional diplomacy and has maintained close diplomatic channels with Iran, including during periods of heightened tensions.

The two sides have repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to address regional disputes and prevent further escalation. (ILKHA)
