Israeli forces kill four Palestinians in relentless attacks on northern Gaza
The Israeli occupation army continued its deadly assaults across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, killing at least four Palestinians and injuring several others in a fresh wave of attacks targeting civilians in northern Gaza amid ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
Local sources reported that two Palestinians were martyred and several civilians wounded after Israeli warplanes struck a group of residents on Al-Nuzha Street in Jabalia al-Balad, north of Gaza. The latest massacre comes as occupation forces intensify attacks on already devastated residential neighborhoods suffering under months of siege, bombardment, and destruction.
Among those killed was young Palestinian Tamer Iyad al-Matouq, who was martyred only two days after his father was killed in another Israeli attack, highlighting the ongoing tragedy endured by countless Palestinian families in Gaza.
Earlier in the day, another Palestinian was killed after an Israeli quadcopter drone dropped explosives on civilians in Old Gaza Street in Jabalia al-Balad. A fourth Palestinian later succumbed to critical injuries sustained from Israeli sniper fire near an UNRWA clinic inside Jabalia refugee camp.
Israeli forces also opened fire on civilians west of Beit Lahia, injuring another Palestinian in the Al-Salatin area. In southern Gaza, two more civilians were wounded after occupation aircraft targeted the vicinity of the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis.
Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces escalated their destruction campaign across the Strip. Several Palestinian homes east of Gaza City were demolished by Israeli military bulldozers and explosives, while artillery shelling heavily targeted northern districts of the city.
In central Gaza, Israeli tanks fired intensively east of Al-Bureij refugee camp as artillery bombardment struck the town of Juhr al-Dik. Since dawn, multiple areas throughout Gaza have been subjected to continuous artillery shelling, gunfire from military vehicles, and systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that hospitals across Gaza received two martyrs and 24 wounded civilians over the previous 48 hours, amid catastrophic conditions facing the healthcare sector due to the prolonged blockade and repeated Israeli attacks on hospitals and medical facilities.
According to updated figures released by health authorities, the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,744 martyrs, while at least 172,555 Palestinians have been injured, many suffering life-threatening wounds and permanent disabilities.
Palestinian officials stressed that Israeli occupation forces have continued violating the ceasefire agreement for the 217th consecutive day since October 11, 2025. Violations include airstrikes, artillery attacks, sniper fire, destruction of homes and civilian facilities, and assaults on residential neighborhoods, displacement tents, and shelters housing displaced families.
The ceasefire agreement, reached in Sharm el-Sheikh through Arab and American mediation following more than two years of devastating war on Gaza, remains fragile as the occupation continues its military escalation and collective punishment against the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
