President Moon appointed Chung Sye-kyun as South Korea's new prime minister on Tuesday.
South Korean lawmakers approved former National Assembly speaker Chung Sye-kyun as new premier, inauguration to be held Tuesday, according to the local reports.
On June 9, 2016, Chung Sye-kyun was elected to a two-year term as the Speaker of the National Assembly. His term as Speaker expired on May 29, 2018. (ILKHA)
