In a fervent show of solidarity, young people in Diyarbakır came together under the banner of the "Youth March for Our Palestinian Brothers" initiative, which was meticulously organized by the youth branch of HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party).
The event, which took place in the Bağlar district, turned into a powerful and unified call for action as passionate youth delivered heartfelt messages of support directly to the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
The demonstration unfolded dynamically at four major intersections in Bağlar, accompanied by simultaneous gatherings in the Sheikh Shamil and Maulana Khaleed neighborhoods. With unwavering determination, the youth contingents marched together to Teachers' Streets in April 5 Neighborhood and finally gathered in front of Hürriyet Primary School.
During this impactful event, Selahaddin Güler, representing the youth, delivered a comprehensive press statement.
Highlighting the crucial role of unity and solidarity in strengthening the resilience of the people of Gaza, Güler said: "The people of Gaza need our unity and solidarity more than ever. We cannot turn a blind eye to their suffering, and it is our duty to stand with them.
He passionately emphasized the collective responsibility to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and to unwaveringly support the Palestinian resistance against what he called oppressive forces. In a strong condemnation, he accused the United States, Britain and Israel of being imperialist terrorist occupying states and asserted their responsibility for widespread bloodshed around the world.
Addressing the Muslim youth of Diyarbakır directly, Güler implored: "As the youth of this community, we are obliged to take a stand. We must embody the spirit of historical figures like Saladin Ayyubi and the steadfast companions of Hussein." The call to action extended to promoting spiritual maturity and readiness for jihad. Güler emphasized, "Our courage, excitement and sensitivity to Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque are not just symbolic; they are tangible contributions to the cause of Islam."
As the gathering gained momentum, Güler delved into the historical context, urging the youth to reflect on their heritage. "We stand on the shoulders of giants, heirs to a legacy of resilience and sacrifice. The Palestinian cause is intertwined with the struggles of our ancestors, and it is our responsibility to carry the torch forward," he declared.
Güler concluded with unwavering confidence that the collective courage and sensitivity of Muslim youth toward Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque would contribute significantly to the broader Islamic cause. He called for a unified effort to reach out to Jerusalem, advocate the boycott of Israeli products, and build the strength of the Islamic cause. The event crescendoed with resounding condemnations of Israel and the United States, coupled with expressions of unwavering support for Hamas and the mujahideen.
As the sun set on the gathering, the youth of Diyarbakır left not just as participants in a demonstration, but as torchbearers of a deep and enduring commitment to justice and solidarity that echoed through the narrow streets and beating hearts of Bağlar. (ILKHA)
